New cat and other updates.
First the most important one: we got a new cat! His name is Carlitos (we didn't name him) and we got him from a small shelter giving pets for adoption downtown. Technically a shelter. It was just some lady with some pets in a busy street giving pets for adoption and accepting donations. We were planning to get another cat back in December and we were waiting for a good time for it. Then, one day in January we saw the lady, their animals and, inside a big box, a small orange cat named Carlitos. But we couldn't take him with us since we weren't in the best conditions for it, yet. My partner said "if we walk by here again and we see Carlitos, we will take him home". And that's what happened. We got him just a week ago and our previous cat is starting to get along with him.
Now we have a grumpy lady being followed by a hyper energetic baby around the house.
Speaking of the house, we finally bought a closet and it took us 4 days to assemble it properly. Of course we had a drawer to store our clothes but we needed a proper closet for our coats and all of that.
The house... feels even more like a home now. I like how slowly we are decorating it and getting all the things we need. It feels... rewarding in some way. The only thing I don't like is how we are still using our monthly money on things for the house instead of using it full on groceries. We also can't save so much money yet for that reason.
But we aren't in "survival mode" anymore. We have food, our cats have food, the house is more tidy and cozy than previously, and... next month I will continue my studies. Not sure if I'm happy or not about it lol
